GOPAL CHANDRA NASKAR : Painter
I am Gopal Chandra Naskar, an Indian contemporary artist, born in 1979 and brought up in Ratna Gram, a rural village in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, near Kolkata.
For me, art nourishes my soul, gives direction to my life, helps me grow, and allows me to share this gift with others, inspiring their growth as well. Art has the power to change the world. It represents who we truly are as human beings because it is an inseparable part of our spirit.
The environment in which human beings are born and raised, along with the diverse species of animals and other living beings, forms a harmonious and interconnected world. Their relationship is like that of soil and roots—deeply connected, interdependent, and essential to one another.
This complementary relationship is an expression of love, a love that is inherently beautiful and joyful. As an artist, I continuously seek to explore and celebrate the true beauty and joy of art through the natural environment and the profound relationships that exist within it.
